Black Swan of the post rock

She stood on the stage and looked at the crowd, full of sadness and tragic eyes.

Louise Lemon, the musician from Uppsala whose real name is Malin Gadeborg, performed live on September 16 at O'Leary's as a part of the biggest musical festival in Örebro and Sweden, “Live at Heart.”

This tiny woman with long, shiny hair wearing a plain black dress sang for the audience, but it felt more like she sang for herself. She closed her eyes and acted like she was trying to catch something in the air with her slim hands.

Experimental pop artist brings strong passion, melancholy to Örebro stage

The first time you see Ida Long, you can't help but be impressed by the assertive presence of this woman.

She performs with bare feet and a modernized gothic style. After she begins the first rhythm, the only feeling you have in yourself is hypnosis.

She is not only singing but dancing, acting with every tune. Besides the musical satisfaction, you witness a visual festival. Her voice presents you with power, passion and melancholy at the same time.

Review Kurbitz

Folk musicians’ different backgrounds form harmonious sound

The atmosphere at Soleo café and bar in Örebro was different than usual on September 16.

At 19:00, three gleaming women welcomed the audience with their velvet melody. Drinking coffee was more enjoyable while listening to the relaxing polka rhythms, played by the women’s band, Kurbitz.

Review Lady Bird

Innovative new band performs at Live at Heart

By  Anna Smelskaya

During the Live at Heart festival last week,  there were several promising bands from Örebro and beyond.

I knew about Lady bird before the concert. Actually, they were the reason I came to the festival. I went to one of their concerts in the springtime, and for me, it was one of the major musical events of this year.

Audience size doesn’t honor Lydmor’s talent

From the first moment of the concert, Danish singer Lydmor presents the energy of Robyn, colors of Imogen Heap and the peaceful melancholy of Kate Havnevik.

The softness in her voice perfectly matches the electronic sound, and she reflects her passion and femininity in all her songs. In every rhythm, it’s possible to feel the professionalism of Lydmor’s band and the harmony between her and them.
